Bark Media is a content marketing agency based in Lawrence, Kansas, specializing in impact businesses and nonprofits across the nation. Bark Media seeks a marketing associate who is passionate about using communications, storytelling and digital marketing to help drive the movements working to better our world. The marketing associate will help drive client projects to completion and execute tasks across clients, ranging from social media drafting and scheduling, email drafting and sending, article writing, editing and posting, and more. Bark Media values creating quality jobs in our local community. Therefore, this is an in-person position in our Lawrence office. All positions have a 90-day onboarding period to ensure we are a good match for each other.

Required skills/experience:

-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage an array of tasks for multiple clients

-Strong writing, editing and communications skills in a variety of styles and for a variety of purposes

-Strong organizational skills

-At least one to two years of experience in a content- or marketing-related position

-Comfort collaborating closely with internal team members as well as multiple client teams

-Comfort with technical systems, including email service providers, basic website updates, social media platforms, G-suite, etc.

-Comfort with executing against a timeline and managing time to meet deadlines

 

Preferred/beneficial skills:

-Knowledge of/familiarity with impact business, cause marketing, social justice work, and/or movement-building

-Comfort with/knowledge of Google Analytics

-Experience in marketing around fundraising, event sales, and/or product sales

 

Benefits:

-Salary: $45,000
